The Year 3 Homepage!!

Welcome back and we hope you had a relaxing and fun Easter break with a few chocolate eggs thrown in.

Mrs Thornhill is now firmly established in Year 34T and enjoying supporting both 34T and 34L in their learning. We have to praise the children for their hard work, enthusiasm and flexibility in coping with the changes that have occurred. We are very proud of the resilience they have shown. We also thank you for your continued support.

There has been continued success with our Accelerated Reader programme with many children showing good progress in reading and comprehension. It is evident that most of our children hve increased their reading time and are motivated by the quizzes. Home reading is supporting us here in school and we appreciate it.

Our new Learning Challenge this half term is Living Landscapes and will be a georgraphy/science based challenge. To support this we will be visiting Cambridge Botanic Gardens in June. More details will follow. Cuffley Camp is almost upon us and we know that this will be an exciting and valuable experience for the children. The focus at school, during this camp, will also be on the outdoors and using the resources in the environment to explore and learn through art, games and teambuilding activities.

Again if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best wishes

Year 34 Team
