Ratio and Proportion work in maths Ratio and Proportion work in maths Squash ratios Wrapping up SPAG A varmint description Celebrating Reading

Useful Information

A weekly maths activity will be set on the Friday, to be completed for Wednesday morning - don't be late! There are Active Learn games which you can access - passwords in homework books! Every day you should be reading so please complete your reading record and bring it to school every day.

Every Monday and Thursday there is a PE lesson which this term will involve both an outdoor and an indoor session. Please be ready with the correct kit (track suit trousers would be useful as it can be nippy at the moment) and make sure you are able to remove all earrings and have your hair tied back.

Maths Homework

All the children have been set up with a user name and a password to access the Active Learn website. Maths games will be allocated to them so it would be great if you could support this at home. Check homework folders for a record of the password but all the children have tried the website at school so they should be confident.

SAT Week

The week beginning 8th May 2017 is SAT's week.

The Year 6 Homepage!!

Welcome to Year 6

We are busy working towards our targets and SATs in the first half term. This means an increased focus on Literacy and Maths.

Later we will be looking at the topic of 'Extreme Exploration' and perhaps undertaking some explorations of our own.  In addition, we will be looking at 'Villians' specifically 'Highwaymen' and 'Pirates'.  A clue to our school production!

Best wishes

Mrs Chapman
